Use this tool to transfer database items between two different Joomla! sites, or duplicate items within your live site. This is a ‘mass’ copy/paste tool necessary for ALL Joomla! administrators. In the old Joomla! 1.5 when you wanted to transfer database items to a different Joomla, just an export/import of the required database tables would do the job. With the new Joomla! 1.6, 1.7 and above, this is no longer possible. This tool is doing just exactly that.

This is an enhancement to the core Newsflash module provided with Joomla. One obvious limitation of the core module is that it will not allow the display of multiple articles in a random order, in either the horizontal or vertical layouts. This module is a replica of the newsflash module, but simply provides two extra options in addition to Default (random), Horizontal, and Vertical. When using the Elegant Logic Newsflash module, you will also have the options of: * Horizontal-Random * Vertical-Random. The additional options are the same as their counterparts, except they have a simple piece of code added which randomises the array of articles before it is displayed. I hope someone else finds this useful! UPDATE: Articles are now randomised BEFORE they are selected, so you truly get a random display of articles when you set a limit.
