Website creators who want to populate a site quickly by importing existing articles, will find this particuarly useful as it eliminates a time consuming, manual process. File types supported: xlsx, xls, csv, ooc. [1.1.1] Fixed a bug that prevented the access level of articles from being set correctly. [1.1.0] Major Update: New configurations interface WYSIWYG editor added [1.0.10] Front page ordering is now added to each uploaded article. They are ordered in the same order as they are uploaded. First of all we want to thank the organizers of the JandBeyond conference for this great event and the whole on-site organization. Robert , Alex and the whole team did a great job! We had the chance to present two sessions about our templates and the new ZOO 2.0. For those of you who did not have the chance to see the presentations live, we recorded both of them on video and are proud to show you the result in this blog post. So lean back and enjoy the show! YOOtheme templates – An inside look! In our first presentation, Sven one of our lead designers took a closer look at the design process and the magic behind YOOtheme templates. He gave an insight of what makes a template a good tempate and what we do to achieve this. He also explained how easy it is to customize images of the templates using Fireworks. The second presentation by ZOO developer Jan and support team member Malte showed the ZOO 2.0 in action, and described what benefits you’ll gain by using it. Testimonials component
The Testimonials joomla component is one more useful utility for your Joomla-powered site that will provide you with a tool for managing and administering testimonials that will be left by the visitors of your site. With the component that comes in the package you will be able to add a page with testimonials anywhere on your site with an ability to add a testimonial by users either with auto-approve option or with admin’s notifications. You can select whether it will be just registered users who leave the messages on not, and you can always enable captcha to protect yourself from spam. There is also an ability to manage testimonials from the front-end – if you add users to the component’s managers they can edit and approve testimonials from the front-end UI. The module that comes with the component gives a possibility to plug in testimonials into the main menu of the site where they will be paged through one by one creating a nice animated effect. You can even show a set of testimonials just for specific menus or content — a feature that allows you to define what testimonials should be shown in module relative to any menu (using tags). The component comes with 6 predefined templates which can be viewed on our site, but you can change the css files however you like to customize this for you. The content plugin that comes with the comonent will allow you to insert several number of testimonials right into your content pages – and different ones will be shown each time a page is refreshed.

This month YOOtheme brings you another great template: Bloc! Its 3D-design is great for creating rich media portals, band websites, blogs or sports sites. A simple module that displays a custom greeting message near the visitors flag. Useful for “international” websites. test it here: http://www.ofertaweb.ro -> last item on the left. it should display Hello *country* and your country flag, but if your IP doesn’t have a country assigned in our ip-country list, the module doesn’t appear.
